ODW Finland's A JOB FOR THE BRAVE campaign 2010–2011 provides support for Cambodian child labourers
Knowledge and skills for indigenous youth in Bolivia 
The ODW Finland campaign for the 2009/2010 schoolyear will introduce young people in Finland to the everyday lives and dreams of indigenous youth in Bolivia. Access to livelihoods is poor in rural areas, and adjusting into life in a city is difficult because of discrimination. Therefore many young people wish to revitalise their village community so that they can stay there.
Comics crossing cultures – Strips from Nepal and Finland 
In January young Nepalese people participating in an environmental education project learned how to make wallposter comics in a workshop. They also received greetings from their Finnish peers in the form of comics on the same theme. Comics created by young people from both countries are now published in a book titled Comics crossing cultures - Strips from Nepal and Finland.
Kenyans involved in last year’s campaign revisited 
John, Irene and Mwangi told Finnish young people about their lives and hopes for the future through the ODW campaign. We went back to see how they are doing today.
Group membership brings protection to young people living on the streets 
The work of Kenyan NGO Undugu to support young people on the streets has begun with funding from the 2007 ODW campaign. The first year has already seen almost a hundred new youth groups arise with a total of around 3,000 members.
Tune in the new Madagascar website 
The new Operation a Day's Work webpage offers teachers a ready-made set of exercises for the classroom as well as tips on how to run an Operation a Day's Work campaign in schools. The youth get acquainted with the thoughts of their peers in Finland and Madagascar through videos and blogs.
Literacy - a key to a better future 
Literacy and the new opportunities it provides can be a major help in overcoming poverty. Sitraka learned how to read on a course organised by the NGO Malagasy Mahomby.
Three years of environmental education in Nepal 
The project of ODW and ECCA in Nepal is running in its third year. The project has improved the environmental awareness of children and youth, who have become pioneers in environmental protection in the project area. Twenty schools have been renovated, and pupils get to enjoy a healthy and safe school environment.
Great beginning for the project in Guatemala 
ODW and Guatemalan project PAMI began their joint project in 2007. The project has created youth networks that have been established in six municipalities around the country. The networks have enabled youth to have a an effect on the lives of their peers.
Attitudes continue to change in Tanzania 
Tanzanian children and youth have learnt ways to protect themselves against the hiv epidemic. Schoolchildren and teachers have gained knowledge of the rights of the child, and several schools have abandoned the use of corporal punishment.
